The diagram to the right shows the four major phases of project development through Hatch’s Project LifeCycle Process. This staged approach to project development has proven to reduce risk and deliver predictable outcomes on projects.
In FEL 1, in conjunction with the client, Hatch reviews concepts, processes, equipment needs, recent technology developments, site suitability, and the likely costs of each viable concept.
In FEL 2, the strongest option is selected and more fully developed through the pre-feasibility study. Basic design and equipment costs and availability are carefully assessed.
In FEL 3, with the formal approval of the client team and board of directors, careful planning, detail design, and contract commitments for the procurement of technologies and equipment are undertaken.
In FEL 4, process systems are designed and the facilities are constructed and commissioned.
