Hatch continues work on Pueblo Viejo project

Engineering and construction is progressing on Barrick Gold Corporation (60%) & Goldcorp Inc.'s (40%) Pueblo Viejo project in central Dominican Republic. The Pueblo Viejo project will be one of the world's largest-capacity gold autoclave plants to date. Four 1,000-tonne brick-lined autoclaves and a 4,000-t/d oxygen plant facility are being engineered and constructed under Hatch management.
 
At full production, Pueblo Viejo will process
24,000 t/d of refractory gold ore and is forecast to produce 1 million ounces of gold per annum for the first five years.
 
Hatch is applying its iPas project management system to deliver full EPCM services for the autoclave and oxygen facilities at Pueblo Viejo. 
 
Hatch's world-class Autoclave Technology Group, based in Mississauga, Canada, is delivering the engineering design.
