Hatch wins International Project-of-the-Year Award
The Hatch-QIT team has been awarded the International Project-of-the-Year Award by the Project Management Institute (PMI) for the UGS Expansion to 375,000 Tonnes Per Year project.
This is the second Project-of-the-Year Award for the project.
The winning project was delivered three months ahead of schedule, $15 million under budget, and with no lost-time injuries in more than 525,000 hours worked.
Hatch was responsible for engineering, equipment design, procurement, and project and construction management. Hatch’s proven project-management system, iPas, was used throughout the project life cycle.
Hatch qualified for the international Project-of-the-Year Award when the project was named Project of the Year by Montreal’s local PMI chapter earlier this year.
